Nature site plan for Tranwell

Posted by Simon Honeysett on Oct 9, 08 11:19 AM in News

PLANS for a new nature reserve in Northumberland - the region's first to be designed exclusively for disabled people - will go out for public consultation in December.

Castle Morpeth Council's proposed Tranwell reserve near Morpeth aims to revitalise an area which has been untouched for more than a decade and currently includes a disused reservoir, ponds, woodland and grassland.

Facilities will include an education room, shop and kitchen. There will also be a birdwatching hide and nature and sensory trails.
