Noel Edmonds visits Morpeth
TV legend Noel Edmonds has visited Morpeth to light up the town's Christmas tree.
The Deal or No Deal star was in the area filming a party for flood victims for his Sky TV show 'Noel's Christmas Presents'.
He said: "I really feel for what Morpeth has gone through in the last few months. Tragedies such as this seem to move off the news radar very quickly and it is timely that the rest of the country remembers what the people of Morpeth went through in September.
"We are facing unprecedented challenges in the UK and it is going to be a very tough Christmas for everybody.
"But there is a message which comes out of Morpeth in its reaction to the terrible flood and that is if we pull together we can achieve much more than we believe we can."
The crowds were also treated to a performance from X-Factor duo Same Difference.
