Breakdown near Morpeth causes problems
A car towing a horse box caused traffic chaos on a main North road yesterday when a tyre blew out.
Both A1 carriageways near Morpeth were closed and traffic diverted through the market town.
Police reported traffic was delayed for almost two hours and there were tailbacks of four miles.
