Claire HansonYoungsters are clowning around in Pegswood, near Morpeth, with new community dance and circus classes.

Mitford dance teacher Claire Hanson, pictured, who has already done extensive work in schools and for charity, has set up the Studio One Community School of Dance to provide activities for children and adults.

The scheme, which has been created as a not-for-profit social enterprise, has been offered a base at Pegswood Ex-Servicemen's Club free of charge and sessions are already under way, including a Summer school and free-style, street and circus skills classes.

The school caters for ages three to adult. Each session costs £1.75 for children and £2 for adults, with the exception of the Summer school, which is £2 an hour or £10 a day.

We'd like to hear from you.
