Mitford Community Centre gets revamp

Posted by The Journal on Jun 30, 10 01:14 PM in News

A village is celebrating the revamp of its ageing hall.

Almost £23,000 has been spent on sprucing up Mitford Community Centre in the last year, with works completed inside and out.

The roof has been repaired, a new ceiling put up, insulation installed and doubled-glazed windows put in, while major repairs have been carried out to the disabled access ramp.

The management committee now plans to make improvements to the kitchen, which has already been re-painted, and another £15,000 will be spent on a new heating system.
